Jones Clocks recommends the use of a top condition, branded, alkaline battery, as old or poor quality batteries may cause the clock to lose time or stop. When cleaning, a light dusting with a soft, clean and dry cloth is advised, as the use of liquids and cleaning agents may damage the finish.

Suitable for domestic and light commercial indoor use only, the clock should be kept out of direct sunlight, high humidity environments, and areas with intense heat or over-exposure to sunlight, such as a conservatory, summer room, greenhouse, shed, swimming pool, bathroom, or near direct sun through a window, above a cooker, radiator, fire, wood burner or appliance. Damage caused by these environments/conditions are not warranted, and no exchanges or repairs can be made.
